In the parallel universe of “The Freshest Foods,” fruits and vegetables are brought to life and turned into charismatic characters whose daily routines and struggles are not much different from what we, humans, deal with. The creative mastermind behind these humorous digital drawings is illustrator/3D sculptor/b-boy Alex Solis, who is famous for his out-of-the-box ideas. Alex Solis art has its own fan base.
These quirky illustrations might not save fruits and veggies from being eaten, but entertainment and a good laugh are guaranteed.
From USB drive to foods, coins to smart phones Alex Solis art has great sense of humor and artistic eye to see ordinary things differently.
Like most artists, Alex Solis always has a pen or pencil in his hand, doodling, creating, but like most artists, he also wanted to eat. Solis focused on Design and Web development in school. Once he learned to code and design, Alex Solis found it useful with his art, creating what can only be described as a singular style.
I’m Alex Solis, known as alexmdc on social media aside from art, I’m currently a fulltime independent artist, and one of the main focuses is my brand oddworx.com. I’ve been creating designer toys for about five years now.”- Alex Solis
My earliest memory creating art was me creating endless drawings of the TMNT, I grew up in a very humble family and in a way it sorta replaced me not having many toys. I became addicted to art without even knowing so, at one point I stopped asking my parents for toys, instead, I would ask for blank paper.
