Swifties for Harris Are Trolling MAGA Swifties In Hopes of Scoring Eras Tour Tickets

As left-leaning Swifties continue to giddily celebrate Taylor Swift’s Tuesday night endorsement of the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket in the 2024 election, which has driven donations and voter registrations up, they have taken to social media, drivend rightward fans crazy. Some joking-not-joking tweets invite politically conservative fans (human people, not the AI-generated what-have-you that Donald Trump tried to pass off as a “Swifties for Trump” movement) to offload their coveted Eras Tour tickets to them.

“if you’re upset at taylor’s endorsement, I hear you, let me help you sell your merch and eras tour tickets to alleviate your struggles. I’m thinking $20 or less per item of merch and maybe $75 on tickets?? the sooner it’s out of your hands the better, right <3” one hopeful user wrote Wednesday.

This fan is “desperately ISO” tickets to one of Swift’s planned Toronto dates, and that one is looking for “conservative people” who snagged tickets to her November 3 show. Another charitably offered to “take your eras tour tickets off your hands so you don’t have to be exposed to her crazy liberal self!!!!!!!!!!!” In a reply to that tweet, they clarified (alongside the laughing-crying emoji) that the offer was “out of the goodness of my heart.” Not all heroes wear capes!

Another patriot stepped up with a classic switcharoo: “i am heartbroken at taylor swift’s endorsement of kamala harris. not only am i sad for myself and my country but also the trump supporters who will no longer feel safe at the eras tour. in an act of service, i will gladly take any true patriots eras ticket and go in your honor.”

Right-wing host Megyn Kelly discussed Swift’s endorsement on her SiriusXM radio show, and made it clear that one, she’s not thrilled, and two, she doesn’t remember that Swift endorsed Harris in 2020, when Swift advocated for voting for Joe Biden, with Harris as his VP.

“You can kiss your sales to the Republican audience goodbye, Taylor,” Kelly said. “Hope you enjoyed them while you had them.”

Since the 2020 Biden-Harris endorsement, Swift has released three new studio albums and four (Taylor’s Version) re-recorded albums, embarked on the record-breaking Eras Tour and released its corresponding concert film (also record-breaking), and became the first billionaire to obtain that status solely off of her artistic performances and recordings. If Kelly journalistically checked herself and all that magic happened without any Republicans contributing, then wow, Swift is even more impressive than we thought.

“F you, Taylor Swift, and F all of the people who want to see these children have body parts chopped off and watch them sterilized under the age of consent and then will ride off to their multi-gazillion dollar mansions, never to think of them again,” Kelly continued.

Well.

While trying to downplay the significance of Swift’s endorsement, other conservatives have claimed that her fans are teen and tween girls who are too young to vote anyway. Another fact check, please?

A 2023 Morning Consult survey conducted in anticipation of the Eras Tour’s launch found that 53 percent of adults in the U.S. self-identified as fans of Swift. That’s not half of her fans are adults, that’s half of adults are fans. Of those self-identified all-grown-up fans, 55 percent said they were Democrats, while Republicans and Independents accounted for roughly 23 percent each. Women were slightly more likely to be Swift fans than men, a 52 to 48 percent split.

One woman claims to have three tickets for sale that she bought for her daughter’s 13th birthday, but “I don’t want to spend another dollar supporting you and your private planes and your non-Christian beliefs. I also don’t want my Christian daughter to believe that it’s ok to do things that are against God’s word, like killing babies.”

If that concerned mother is having a hard time offloading those tickets, there seem to be millions on social media who are ready and willing to help.
