Her first baby! Kate Chastain has shared glimpses of her sweetest moments with her son, Sullivan, following his May 2023 arrival.
The Below Deck alum announced that she was expecting a child in a sweet social media post, writing via Instagram in December 2022, “I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you 💗💙💗💙.”
That same month, Chastain opened up about the exciting new chapter of her life. “I feel so great. I feel so excited,” she exclusively told Us Weekly. “I knew as Traitors was coming out that I’d be doing a lot of interviews and I probably couldn’t hide it much longer, so surprise!”
The Bravo star hinted at her plans to be a single mother, saying on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, “I’m doing it solo and perhaps with some help, but I’m happy to do it alone.”
Chastain later said that she was looking forward to raising the baby on her own. “I think, from people seeing me on Below Deck and Traitors — I’m fiercely independent,” she explained on Page Six‘s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast in January 2023. “I don’t really love people’s opinions being different than mine and trying to make me go their way. So I really am so excited that I’ll be able to do this exactly how I want to.”
Four months later, Chastain confirmed her baby boy’s arrival, writing via Instagram, “Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay 💙.” The former chief stew, who was previously linked to her costar Ben Robinson, went on to slam speculation that he was the father.
“For the record, the only thing this handsome guy has in common with any chef is the tendency to get emotional around meal times,” Chastain, who briefly dated the professional chef between seasons 2 and 3 of Below Deck, tweeted in May 2023, alongside a photo of her son.
The England native, for his part, wished his friend good luck ahead of her motherhood journey. “Who knew that Kate Chastain and I would be the same weight one day … But to be fair I have been hitting the gym! Please wish my great friend @kate_chastain an easy delivery and a healthy beautiful baby! I am so proud of who you have become and the mother you will soon be❤️,” Robinson, who got engaged to girlfriend Kiara Cabral in May 2023, wrote via Instagram one month prior.
