Losing a dog whom we loved and cared for with all our hearts is a devastating experience, but the thought that these incredible animals always keep an eye on us from the sky helps ease the pain.
When Ashley Lang’s 12-year-old Golden Retriever named Wagner crossed the rainbow bridge, her heart broke. But she now has an incredible photo she can keep as a reminder of how much he meant to her.
As she was spreading her furry pal’s ashes, her friend snapped a photo that showed a white silhouette of a dog.

The spot where Ashley spread the ashes was Wagner’s favorite place. The two spent fun time there while he was alive.

“It’s pretty remarkable…the tail and the legs and he looks like he’s, you know, leaping to go up,” Lang told CBS Chicago. “Everyone keeps calling him the angel dog.”
People named the photo “An angel of a dog” and Ashley is convinced it was Wagner’s way of saying that final goodbye.
